We could look back as early as the decade of the 90s. It was in the year 1994. We could say that was way, way ahead of the birth of social media. At the time, the word we know as "blog" was not used yet. We could refer to such an idea, then, as a mere "personal homepage." Nowadays, there are many websites and online media properties that are available to the public. Many of these websites are described and categorized as a blog. We could describe many blog followers as avid readers, if not, simply, they are fans. They just love what they are getting. They keep coming back to their favourite websites and blogs.
